Dawn Patrol - Trail Running

Ronie cruising through the ice-fog yesterday morning, during a trail running shoot for Ultimate Direction. Awesome sunrise with the big upslope storm clearing out, leaving nearly a foot of snow and a dramatic fog hanging over the still warm water. Made it challanging to come away with tac-sharp images... and it was c-c-c-cold. Thanks to Ronie and Marily for coming out. Think we ended up with some quality images. Here is one from the B-roll.

No Bikes on Anemone Hill - City of Boulder Logic

A classic example of the logic of the City of Boulder and the city council: The Habitat Conservation area on Marshall Mesa. "This designation protects and preserves the fragile landscapes that are home to sensitive or rare plants and animals". "Travel on Designated trails only" Unless your a cow, a very rare animal that has no impact on sensitive plants - at least according to the City of Boulder.

The latest from Boulder: applying similar logic to exclude cyclists from the remaining 2% of the west TSA "open" space, and thus protecting their own dog walking experience on all of the west TSA and building this new hiking/dog/horse only trail that we the people (i.e. tax payers) will be paying for. Hating bikes - Who would have thought that the City of Boulder and the GOP has so much in common?

Speaking of skiing... Ready? First upslope storm if the season just rolling in over Boulder. Joel is forecasting 8-13 expected up in the Mountains. Yeah!

GM get's it wrong again

Stop pedaling, and start riving. Really? Reality Sucks... if you work at GM. Your reality will certainly will suck even more if you take GM's advice. As tax-payer and an involantary part-owner in this worthless company, can I have my money back? Or at least, invest it in actually bringing the Volt to market. 

Instead: Stop driving... Start pedaling. Make the world a better place, and when you have to drive, don't drive a GM. 

Yosemite Storms

In Yosemite for Freerider on El Cap with Elliot and P-Brett. The kiddos in front of El Cap. Definetly an experience to roll into the valley and finally get to see this hunk of rock in the flesh. 

Rapping, stashing and working pitches. The view from my dangling, spinning and freehanging position as Elliot works the moves on the endurance corner pitch. Incredible exposure - and one scared Swedish guy. 

Storm rolling in over El Cap. We just got done with the prep work as a big winter storm park itself over the valley, it's still here...

The view of the Half Dome from yesterday morning. The snowline dropped last night and it's stunning here right now. Here is to the faint hope that the rock will be dry enough to start climbing tomorrow... not likely. Cheers.
