Jason and I got out in the park yesterday. Finally dusted off the skis and found some good snow. High and north facing is still skiing nice and cold! But high alpine lakes are not supposed to be totally thawed in April... Here are a few B-roll images from yesterday. FYI, the park in all it's wisdom has the bear lake road closed until 6 am (6:40 in our case). Get it while it's good!
Perseverance. After dismal conditions down in the bowl, we continued up a steep north facing cooler to find nice soft pow!
A few tentative turns on the committing slope angle (which rolled into a couloir below), before relaxing into just skiing.
